Hello and well met, friends!

We are DJ and Marisa, the founders and dice makers behind The Grinning Kitten!

Our story begins with the two of us: each with a lifelong love of fantasy and cats and a desire to connect with others who share the same interests.

Around the same time that we delved into the world of D&D, we adopted an adorable kitten named Sylvie. Our love for her and our love for D&D grew, and one day, a design was born.

We christened this shape icatsahedron and worked night and day (and sometimes weekends) to bring it to life, delving deep into the world of handmade resin dice, casting resin piece after piece.

Throughout all of this we knew we needed to call ourselves something that reflected us and the creative journey we are on.  We chose the name The Grinning Kitten after Sylvie, the inspiration and heart behind what we do.

What started as an experiment, a hobby, bloomed into something greater. Our goal was and continues to be to give people all over a fresh and fun way to express themselves and their nerd culture. The response from our first drop was so overwhelmingly positive that we kept going – and we have no intention to stop!
